This blog is YOUR blog!

I vant you!
Dear Members:
This blog is supposed to be interactive! Please post anything you think the rest of the members would be interested to know about! Any interesting research finds? Any news that our membership would be interested in hearing about? You can also make comments on existing posts, and if you do, it will make the blog all that much more interesting to read, and also help us to get to know each other better!

I would like to know about the planned Fair, as I am planning to have a booth. How large will the tables be? Will there be easels available? Do we make our own signs? etc. Gayle
PS mail should read e-mails address

So – how do I post a blog entry, as opposed to a reply to your blog entry? Unless I specifically and separately subscribe to the replies, I don’t get to see them and no one else will see my reply unless they also subscribe to the replies..

Aha! I thought one could easily, when I brazenly wrote asking for posts. Now I can’t find the way, so I have referred the question to our webmaster!

We have not received any notice of an opening date. We will definitely inform the membership as soon as we hear something definitive. You can order microfilm to be sent to any of the other centers for viewing. Check out the locations on the FHC website. The Southern California Genealogy Society library in Burbank also has the facility to order microfilms for viewing on the premises.

The Market Square will be part of the events at the July conference. The conference has a separate website, newsletter and blog. Please visit that site at http://www.jgsla2010.com.
