We would like to thank the donor of four books who left them recently on a bottom shelf of our permanent collection at the Family History Library. If the donor would identify himself or herself, we would like to place a bookplate into the flyleaf of the
books to acknowledge the donation. If you left the books, please contact our librarian, Barbara Algaze, at Barbara@jgsla.com

JGSLA has two lovely oak wooden bookcases for sale. They originally sold for over $100 each at a place called the Barn. They are presently located in the storage room at the Family History Library. They are each 36″ wide, seven feet tall and 13 inches deep. They each have 6 shelves. We are looking to sell them to the highest bidder. (Bidding starts at $25.00 each) Because they are too tall to fit in the Family History Library elevator, engineers at the Family History Library will assist you in getting them up one flight of stairs.
They need to be removed within the next two weeks.
If you are interested in them, or if you want more information, please contact Barbara Algaze at Barbara@jgsla.org
Don London, our esteemed webmaster, has recently added indexes to JGSLA resources on our website.
Simply click on the word “Research” above in our main menu bar and check them out.
Amongst the links at this location are:
An index of all the books in our permanent library at the Santa Monica Boulevard Family History Library - http://jgsla.org/research/library-lafhl
An index of all the microfilms at the Santa Monica Boulevard Family History Library that pertain to Jewish records – http://jgsla.org/research/microfilms-at-lafhl
An index of all the journals in our permanent library at the Family History Library - http://jgsla.org/research/journals-lafhl
An index of all the books in our Speiszman traveling library that are brought to most of our meetings by Mort Rappaport – http://jgsla.org/research/traveling-library
I hope you will find these resources helpful in your research.
