“Roots-Key” is Outstanding Publication!

JGSLA is extremely pleased to share with all our members the happy news that Roots-Key, our Society journal, was awarded the Outstanding Publication recognition by IAJGS at the conference banquet on July 15, 2010. The award was accepted by Roots-Key’s editors, David B. Hoffman and Sonia Hoffman. The editors also want to acknowledge the tremendous contributions to Roots-Key by its previous editor, Nancy Holden, who is also award-winning in our eyes and hearts!

The language of the award is as follows:

Outstanding Publication Award
Presented to the Jewish Genealogical Society of Los Angeles

This award, for the second time, recognizes that for many years, Roots-Key, the Journal of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Los Angeles, has been consistent in providing original articles and book reviews with high quality insight into world-wide and functional aspects of Jewish genealogy, not only to genealogists in Los Angeles but also to the broader Jewish genealogical community.

We can all agree that this award was well-deserved! Heartiest congratulations to the editors and all who have worked with them to publish this outstanding journal!
