Helene Rosen :  When Helene Freedman Rosen learned that she was related to the Alexander family of LaGrange, Texas, she became fascinated by their story.  Over the years, she researched the dozens of descendants of matriarch Sprinze Seelig Badt as they grew roots in Texas.  This presentation focuses not on their large family tree but the use of many different sources to learn more about their lives as they became an all American family.

Helene Rosen – is a long time member of JGSLA as well as the current Membership Vice President of the Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley.  She has attended nine IAJGS conferences.  Her family tree contains over 1700 names.  She is a graduate of UCLA, worked for the County of Los Angeles in data processing, and is the mother of three fine young men and grandmother of two adorable grandsons.
